Privacy Policy

We do not require an account, so we hold no name, email address, password or profile for you. We never ask for credentials to any third-party platform, and we could not use them if you provided them.

We do not keep a log associating you with the links you submit. Once a request is complete, the link is not retained in any record tied to your identity or address. We cannot produce a history of what you have downloaded, because no such history exists.

We do not store the media files themselves at any point beyond the transient processing needed to fulfil your request.

Request data. When you use the Service our servers process your IP address, browser user-agent, and the submitted link for as long as it takes to complete the request. This is technically unavoidable — it is how the internet works. Short-lived logs containing this data are kept for a maximum of twenty-four hours for abuse prevention and rate limiting, then deleted.

Aggregate analytics. We measure page views, referring sites, approximate country, device type and which features are used, in aggregate. Our analytics does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you.

Local storage. The Service stores small values in your own browser to remember your theme preference and whether you have completed an unlock in the current session. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

The Service is funded by advertising. Advertising partners may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and may collect data about your visit for the purposes of serving and measuring ads. This is done by them under their own privacy policies, not by us, and we do not receive or hold the data they collect.

Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set, and you can decline. Declining does not restrict your use of the Service in any way.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share personal data with advertisers for their own independent purposes.

Where the GDPR or similar law applies, we rely on: legitimate interests, for the short-lived technical logs necessary to operate the Service securely and prevent abuse; consent, for non-essential cookies and any advertising identifiers; and legal obligation, where we are required to retain or disclose something by law.

We share data only with infrastructure providers acting on our instructions — hosting, content delivery and analytics — and with advertising partners as described above. We do not sell personal data to anyone.

We may disclose information where legally compelled by valid process, or where necessary to protect our rights, safety or property. Because we retain so little, there is generally very little that could be disclosed.

Our infrastructure providers operate globally, so data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where personal data is transferred out of the UK or EEA, we rely on the safeguards our providers have in place, such as standard contractual clauses or an applicable adequacy decision.

Technical request logs: maximum twenty-four hours. Aggregate analytics: retained in non-identifying form. Data stored in your own browser: until you clear it. We have no other categories of retained personal data.

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Please note that because we hold almost no identifiable data and keep no history of submitted links, we are often genuinely unable to locate any data relating to a specific individual. Where that is the case we will tell you so plainly rather than asking you for more information in order to find it.

The Service is not directed at children under thirteen, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

All traffic is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. We keep the amount of data we hold deliberately minimal, on the basis that data which is never collected cannot be breached. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy. The date of the most recent substantive revision is shown at the top of this page.
